Bald ealges nest on the islands of Pushaw Lake and you will be able to see them flying by, sitting on the trees and even witnesss them catching fish. The loons, Maine's state bird, are also present on the lake and everybody enjoys their calls. Other birds are various ducks, geese and blue herons. Otters, muskrats and occasionally beavers swimm by the camp.
Pushaw Lake is a perfect lake for fishing. There is an aboundance of norhtern pike, pickerel, bigmouth and smallmouth bass, perch etc. to be found in the lake.
